Read moreMartin is an Associate within our Development Planning and Design Division and is a highly proficient and dependable Project Manager and Project Director. He has over twenty years’ experience as a Transport Planner co-ordinating multi-disciplinary project teams on transport planning and development planning projects. He provides advice to both public and private sector clients on all land use sectors including residential, commercial, retail, leisure and warehousing/ logistics.
Martin joined Steer from Jacobs in January 2014, where he completed a Masters in Transport Planning and Practice at the University of Surrey. He has wide ranging expertise in Development Planning projects, Environmental Impact Assessment Transport Chapters, Multi-modal and Sustainable Transport Strategies and Scheme Appraisals, and has also acted as Transport Officer reviewing major planning application submissions on behalf of London Boroughs.
Martin has successfully secured planning consents for small scale to large scale developments across the country including referable planning applications within London. He thrives on delivering transport solutions for complex and constrained sites. Recent projects include consents for residential-led schemes for Streatham Vale Homebase (Lambeth) and Blenheim Shopping Centre (Penge), the re-development of West One Shopping Centre (Westminster), the discharge of planning conditions/ Reserved Matters for the Wood Wharf Masterplan (Canary Wharf), wider Canary Wharf Estate consents, and multiple warehousing and logistics scheme consents.
He has worked for a range of Clients including Canary Wharf Group, Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, Barratt London, Hadley Property Group, Romulus Construction Limited, British Land, Blocwork LLP, Southampton International Airport Limited, London Borough of Lewisham, London Borough of Islington, and Transport for London.
