Carl is an experienced highways and transport engineer with a background in civil engineering, leading and providing expert advice to a wide range of public and private sector clients.
Carl fulfils the roles of project director, project manager and designer on a wide range of schemes, from small-scale schemes for local authorities such as junction improvements, road safety schemes and pedestrian and cycle improvements, to high-profile private developments running through numerous development phases.
Carl leads Steer’s highway design offer to Canary Wharf, leading on all highway design matters for their Wood Wharf development over the past 10 years from post-planning support through to detailed design and construction oversight, working closely with a large client team and project team of architects, landscape architects and other specialist consultants.
Carl’s focus is largely on London-based projects, notably including Battersea Power Station s278 schemes and Northwick Park Spine Road, cycle route feasibility and pedestrian and public realm schemes, however has also worked on projects across the country including schemes for Transport for Greater Manchester, and developer-led schemes. Carl also provides advice and oversight during the construction phase in NEC Supervisor and design-support roles.
