Profile
At Steer, I work on the strategic and analytical aspects of transportation projects such as developing and refining rail operating cost models for Caltrans, providing policy regulation and analysis services to the City of Sacramento, ridership forecasting for Link-21, among others.
My areas of expertise encompass operating rail cost analysis, including cost optimization, scenario testing, and policy impact assessments. I am proficient in developing spreadsheet models and analytical tools, as well as visualizing key performance indicators through Power BI dashboards. My professional background includes experience in rail, toll roadways, and economic and policy analysis, underpinned by a formal education in economics and finance.
Notable projects include assisting Caltrans in optimizing budget planning for three significant rail corridors in California, conducting scenario testing for the Link-21 project that informed the selection of rail alignment options, and providing support to the City of Sacramento in monitoring vendor compliance with shared mobility regulations. Furthermore, I am a co-author of a research paper on ridership demand modelling, based on work conducted for Link-21, which has been accepted for presentation at TRB'25.
